How are people coming up with app ideas?
« on: October 10, 2013, 05:51:03 PM »
I'm interested in how developers are coming up with ideas for Google Glass?

I also wonder whether there is a lot of consumer demand for Google Glass apps at this stage, or if it is something that is being driven primarily by the developer community.

If there are developers out there that can post a reply and let me know there thoughts, that would be great.  And if anyone is looking for ideas, head to my site www.dreamitapp.com to have a look around.

Well at the moment since 'Glass' isn't available to the general public, all 'Glassware' demand is basically from developers and those lucky few who got theirs in the 'Explorer' program.  This should all change next year of course when 'Glass' goes public.  As for how do they come up with ideas...I can only guess there are a variety of ways...from porting existing smartphone and pc apps and functionality into a new form on 'Glass' to looking at the potential of the unique hardware of 'Glass' and how it might relate to the world in new use case scenarios.  Any developers out there feel free to chime in and let us know your thought process!

At the present, I don't think there's a lot of demand since Glass is not yet on mainstream. But, I think its early users tend to be more enthusiastic. They may love trying out new stuffs and give feedbacks to you easier.

The way I come up with app idea right now is to look at my own problem, how glass can make my daily life better. Since there's probably not many apps ready-to-use, it's time to build our own.
